Is the celebration of World Tourism Day on September 27 / September each year.
The purpose of the celebration to increase the awareness of the international community of the importance of tourism and the value of social, cultural, political, economic, and aims to celebrate to address global challenges set for the Millennium Development Goals and to highlight the contribution that can be provided by the tourism industry to achieve these goals.
The World Tourism Organization calls for all interested parties to participate in the celebrations and special events held on 27 September each year in their respective countries or during the holidays.
