Description Organization

Allow members of the World Tourism Organization to take advantage of regular opportunities to meet and consult with the tourism decision-makers at the highest levels (ministries, senior managers of major commercial tourist activities), and enjoy the benefits of participating in the membership of the multilateral institution recognized by the United Nations. It also allows members to take advantage of the collection, analysis and dissemination of data organized tourist taken from more than 180 countries and territories, and to receive free copies of all publications and documents of the organization research and gain exclusive access to the data bank's unique organization. Which includes statistical data for the (180) state, and the possibility of participating in seminars and training courses organized or co-organized by the organization.

The objectives of the World Tourism Organization

1-the transfer of expertise and international experience and technical knowledge for the tourism sector. 

2-contribute to the capacity building of workers in the field of tourism. 

3-strengthening partnership in tourism development. 

4-tourism as a mechanism for the promotion of peace, and a tool for joint cooperation in preserving the cultural and economic diversity. 

5-exchange expertise and experiences available to other countries in the development of the tourism sector.

Announced that the World Tourism Organization of the United Nations has joined the Association of tourist comprises a group of companies operating in the field of tourism in order to promote the development of tourism and its work to help eradicate poverty and promote social and economic development and environmental conservation. The official said the World Tourism Organization, Eugenio Yunis, "The Association of tour operators with its experience in providing and organizing holidays, including their impact on tourism can play an important role in influencing the level and the development of tourism in the world." The Association moved from Paris, where he was housed within the United Nations Programme for the Environment to Madrid, where the headquarters of the World Tourism Organization. The Association consists of 15 companies from tour operators and was founded in 1999 with the support of the World Tourism Organization and the United Nations Environment Programme and UNESCO. The Association is voluntary, non-profit organization and is open to all tour operators from all over the world, regardless of their size or geographic location. The organization works in 5 key topics include environmental research and social issues, economic, cultural, and capacity building in order to ensure sustainable development by organizing workshops and conferences and provide the necessary training. The director of the organization, Tom Silanimi, "The move to join the World Tourism Organization opens wide horizons for us and will help to integrate the concept of sustainable development in tourism.
